
For too long,
been trying to fit in
social norms,
shine through
a galaxy of stars,
looking like them
a part of the crowd,
never standing out,
even after a lifetime
wasted…

sad but it comes across as heartfelt; never too late to change — it is safer to fit in, I know — for most of my life too, I’ve done it but now I’m taking small steps away from the norm; perhaps that’s the answer
